The heart of the Bridge to STEAM (A for Agriculture) project, funded by a USDA-NIFA New Beginnings grant, is the summer research experience for undergraduate students at Diné College for which the Haury Program supported five students or "Scholars" in 2021. The Bridge to STEAM Summer Research Experience for Diné students consisted of intensive field and laboratory immersion that allowed the students to explore the how and why of the growth and diversification of sage in the Navajo Nation.
